Johnny Depp - Johnny Depp Gets Wine Delivered To Set

JOHNNY DEPP has been having shipments of his favourite home-made wine delivered to the set of his latest movie.

The PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN has been treating the cast and crew to his selection of wine on the set of new film PUBLIC ENEMIES, reports the Mirror.

Johnny is something of a wine buff and has been having shipments sent over "to keep him going", a source has said.

"He is very serious about his hobby and does everything himself - from selecting the grapes to working the machinery. He's done wine-tasting courses and has read virtually all there is to read on the subject. Johnny's a connoisseur," said the source.

Generous Johnny also had several bottles of Bordeaux Petrus delivered, as his home-grown wines would not quite stretch to all members of the crew.

The film has been involved in a real life incident, as a youth has been arrested on suspicion of taking part in a drive-by shooting close to the movie's set.

MTV music awards back in L.A. after decade away

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The MTV Video Music Awards, scene of a disastrous performance by Britney Spears last year, will return to Los Angeles for the first time in a decade on September 7, the lifestyle cable network said on Monday.

The high-wattage event, now in its 25th year, will take place on the Paramount Pictures lot in Hollywood, and will air on the channel that evening. Los Angeles last hosted the event in 1998. Since then, the awards have been held mostly in New York, but traveled to Miami in 2004 and 2005, and then Las Vegas last year.

MTV said this year's ceremony would use the city streets, rooftops, and sound stages all over the Paramount lot. The host, performers, nominees, and presenters will be announced at a later date. MTV and Paramount are units of Viacom Inc.

Last year, 7.1 million MTV viewers watched the festivities, according to Nielsen Media Research. Spears, embarking on a comeback of sorts, was ridiculed for dressing as a stripper and badly lip-synching her way through her new single. Jaws dropped among mystified stars in the audience.

While viewership was up from 5.8 million the year before, the numbers are a far cry from the record 12 million viewers for the 1999 version.

Christian pop group Casting Crowns began as a pupil worship band in Daytona Beach, FL, in 1999. Led by isaac M. Singer, songwriter, and youth curate Mark Hall, the radical initially included guitarists Juan DeVevo and Hector Cervantes and fiddler Melodee DeVevo. The radical relocated to McDonough, GA, in 2001, adding Chris Huffman on basso, Megan Garrett on keyboards and piano accordion, and drummer Andy Williams. This augmented version of Casting Crowns released 2 independent albums on CD, both of which were well received in the Atlanta area. One of the albums found its way into the men of Mark Miller, jumper lead vocalizer for country group Sawyer Brown, wHO was smitten by Casting Crowns' driving pop/rock style and Hall's vocal delivery of his hard-hitting just god-fearing songs. Miller signed Casting Crowns to his freshman Beach Street Records, a division of Reunion Records with distribution by the Provident Label Group, and took the radical into the studio along with co-producer Steven Curtis Chapman, himself a popular artist on the CCM musical scene. The resulting record album, Casting Crowns, was released in 2003 on the Beach Street embossment. A sampler with fivesome songs, Alive from Atlanta, was released on Reunion Records in 2004, packaged with a bonus DVD containing band interviews and a music television. Lifesong, released in August 2005, was their most successful record even and became a Top Ten national strike.
